Features
This kit will fix your 4WD no matter what! Never get stuck in 2WD again! No more flashing 2WD/4WD lights!
Our CFMoto Sure 4 Kit is our premier 4WD manual conversion kit for your CFMoto. This fits ALL CFMoto vehicles. Get rid of all those faulty electronics and never have 4WD issues again!
Included with this kit is our Sure 4 manual actuator that replaces your OEM electronic actuator. Comes with our unique 2wd/4wd/diff lock console / fender mounted shift lever that adds a factory installed / sports package look and feel while riding.
This kit will also bypass the 22MPH diff lock speed limiter! Now you can drive as fast in Diff Lock as you can in 4WD!
The shift lever clearly shows what position you are in, 2WD, 4WD and Diff Lock. Currently, this kit will not make your display light show what position you are in, we are working on an electrical upgrade to make the display gauge show 2WD/4WD and Diff lock.

Installation
Check out our Step by Step Installation Video
Installation is simple. **NEVER force the shift lever, you need to drive slow while shifting, or spin the tires slowly if you are stuck, while shifting. It should shift easy, forcing the lever will break your differential.
- First, find the place you want to mount the shift lever and make sure the cable reaches from the lever to your front actuator.
- Then mark the spots where the shift lever needs to be secured, drill the holes and mount the shift lever, drill one extra hole for the pull cable.
- Push the cable through that hole, screw the pull cable into the shift lever and then mount the shift lever.
- Run the cable down to the actuator. Stay clear of any hot or moving parts. Do not make any sharp bends.
- Next, remove your electric actuator, you can unplug it and disregard it or even simply strap it up inside the machine and leave it plugged in and out of the way.
- Install the pull cable into the manual actuator, put the o-ring on the back of the actuator.
- Mount the Sure 4 manual 4x4 actuator onto your differential using the two new screws supplied.
- Test the movement of the actuator, you must have the front wheels off the ground to do this, start to shift into 4WD, rotate the front wheels with your foot while applying a small amount of pressure to the lever to shift into 4WD, it should slide into 4WD easily when the gears inside your differential line up and allow them to slide together. This is the same process for shifting into Diff Lock. NEVER FORCE THE SHIFT LEVER. You will break something.
- Adjust the pull cable; when in 2WD the actuator "block" should be all the way to one side, when in 4WD the actuator "block" should be in the center, when in Diff Lock the actuator "block" should be all the way to the other side. If this is not the case, adjust the cable to make this happen.
- Put the o-ring on the lid, screw the lid on and you are done!

Bought this a while ago but just now tried to install it. Several issues.
1) almost every hole is too small and had to be reamed out. They were too tight for assembly. Example, the shift knob wouldn’t fit over the lever, it had to be drilled out just to fit at all. The lever also wouldn’t slide in the housing, the slot is too small. Had to Dremel that out.
2) The cover on the actuator doesn’t seal. It leaked oil out. Had to use RTV.
3) The pivot on the shift lever needs to have a locknut. If you tighten the nut enough for it to stay, you can’t move the lever. With the lever able to move, the nut is so loose it will fall off.
4) The instructions and the videos are incredibly generic and don’t give enough info. For example, on my C-Force 600 touring, you can’t take the actuator on and off the differential without unbolting the differential so it can move. Model specific instructions would go a long way. A person without good mechanical skills may struggle with this install.
5) For the price, I would expect metal. This is 3-D printed plastic. It’s very easy to break when tightening screws.
Overall I think it will fix my actuator issue. But not thrilled with the extra work required to make this all fit and work.
Hi Shawn, thank you for the feedback.
1) We will check every hole so future orders are easier to assemble.
2) Did you use the o-ring on the lid? We tested this and it does not leak. Please send us some pictures; Sales@KnightATV.com
3) The pivot on the shift lever was installed with Loctite and the nut is tightened fully to the shoulder of the bolt so there is still room for the lever to move. Please send pictures of this. This should have come fully assembled.
4) We are working on vehicle specific instructions, did you watch the step-by-step installation video made by a customer of ours?
5) Only the housings are plastic, all of the threads and moving parts are metal. Same as the OEM actuator. If anything ever breaks contact us and we will replace it.
I'm sorry you had extra work involved. Thank you for sticking with it and getting it installed. Please contact us if you need anything in the future. 732-822-3287.
I have been through 2 electronic actuators on my 2019 CFMoto 800xc and this has fixed that issue for me. Good quality.
