How to Install a Knight ATV Rear Fender Speaker Kit
Fits all Knight ATV rear fender speaker kits, including Arctic Cat, Can-Am, CFMoto, Honda, Kawasaki, Polaris, Suzuki, Yamaha, and Tracker Off Road. Already installed your front fender kit? This guide picks up right where that one leaves off.
Already have your front speakers installed? Great. This guide walks you through adding the rear fender speaker kit, including the amplifier, auxiliary connection, LED splitters, and final power hookup.

Step by Step Rear Fender Installation
1. Mount the rear speaker housings. Line up the rear speakers on your fender the same way you did up front. Find the spot where they sit perfectly, mark the holes, and drill them. Mount the housings, then drill one additional hole on each side for the wires to pass through.
2. Find your power splitter wire. In the parts bag for your rear speakers, locate the power splitter wire. It has two connectors coming out of one end.
3. Mount the rear amplifier in the front right speaker housing. On most models, the non-Bluetooth amplifier that comes with the rear kit mounts inside your front right speaker housing, not in the rear housing itself. Remove the screws on that side of the housing, mount the amplifier in that same position, and you're ready to wire it in.
4. Connect the power splitter. Take the end of the power splitter wire with two connectors to your main speaker pod up front. Unplug the connection that runs from your main wire harness into the booster, and plug the splitter in line in its place. Add a bit of dielectric grease to the connection for weatherproofing. Run the other end of the splitter to the amplifier you just mounted in the front right housing, and plug it in. That amplifier now has power.
5. Connect the auxiliary cord. Plug one end of the auxiliary cord into the auxiliary out port on your front amplifier (the black box), keeping the connection inside the fender rather than exposed outside it. Run the other end to the rear amplifier's auxiliary in port. There are two ports on that amplifier: use the one near the other wiring, not the one coming out of the middle. Your rear amplifier now has a signal.
6. Run the speaker wires. Plug each channel on the amplifier (mounted in your front right housing) into its matching rear speaker, running the wires back along the frame and away from any moving or hot parts.
7. Connect the LED splitters. In your rear speaker kit bag, find the two LED splitter wires and two LED extension cords. On each front speaker, unplug the existing LED connection, plug the splitter wire in line in its place, and make sure the arrows on the connectors line up. Plug one side of the splitter back into the front speaker, and plug the other side into an LED extension cord.
8. Run the LED extensions to the rear. Run each extension cord back to its corresponding rear speaker and plug it in. If a splitter's prongs come loose, push them back in before connecting.
9. Mount the rear speakers. Use the included mounting hardware bag to screw the rear speakers to your fenders.
10. Wire to the battery. Connect red to positive and black to negative.
11. Power on and pair. Turn the system on. You should hear a tone confirming it's powered up. Open Bluetooth on your phone and connect to Knight ATV.
12. Set up your LED remote. Take the smart remote out of its packaging and pull the tab from the battery compartment to activate it. Use it to select your LED color or mode.
13. Done. All four speakers and your LEDs are now fully wired and ready to ride.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to install the front fender kit first?
Yes. The rear fender kit connects into your front amplifier and wiring harness, so the front kit needs to be installed and working before you add the rear speakers.
Why use dielectric grease on the connectors?
It helps protect the connection from moisture and corrosion, which matters given how much mud, rain, and vibration these connectors are exposed to.
What if my splitter connector won't stay together?
Check that the small prongs inside the connector haven't come loose. Push them back into place before reconnecting.
Can I control the rear LEDs separately from the front?
The LED splitters tie the rear lights into the same controller as the front, so they're controlled together through the same remote or app.
What if something goes wrong during install?
