On most kits, the Combo and Ultimate versions keep your 2WD/4WD display lights working. The basic kit locks your 4WD but the dash lights won't show. Each listing says which.
Can I shift while I'm moving?
Yes, slowly. Shift at 5 MPH or less while turning your handlebars, and never force the lever. When the gears line up it slides right in.
How hard is the install?
It's plug and play, with no cutting, drilling or splicing. Most riders do it at home with basic tools, and every kit has an install video.
