How to Install Knight ATV Waterproof Speaker Pods
Fits all Knight ATV fender-mounted speaker pod kits, including Arctic Cat, Can-Am, CFMoto, Honda, Kawasaki, Polaris, Suzuki, Yamaha, and Tracker Off Road.

Every Knight ATV speaker pod kit is custom-molded to your exact year, make, and model, but the installation process itself is the same across the board. This guide covers the front fender speaker kit install step by step. (Installing a rear fender kit too? See our companion guide below.)

Step-by-Step Front Fender Installation
1. Position the left speaker housing. The left housing has the amplifier mounted inside it. Place it on the left fender so it sits flush against the surface, and slide it around until it settles into its natural, best-fit position.
2. Mark and drill the mounting holes. Use a marker to trace the mounting holes, then drill them into the fender. Don't bolt the housing on yet. Tip: drill the top two holes first and loosely set those two screws in place. That holds the housing steady while you drill the bottom two holes.
3. Drill the wiring hole. Look for where the wires will naturally run, roughly centered but a little lower than the speaker itself. Drill a hole near the bottom center of the housing for all the wiring to pass through.
4. Mount the left housing. Push all wires through the hole you just drilled, then mount the housing to the fender using a washer, screw, and nut on the back end for each bolt. Do not overtighten, since these bolts are going into fender plastic and can crack if forced.
5. Route the wiring toward the right side. Run the wires for the other speaker and the LEDs through the center hole, keeping them along the front of the quad and away from any moving or hot parts. Hold off on securing these with cable ties until both speakers are installed and tested.
6. Position and drill the right side. Line up the right speaker housing on the right fender and drill the same four mounting holes as you did on the left.
7. Connect the wiring. Push the wires from the left side through the center hole on the right housing. Connect them to the black speaker wire, and match up the LED wires using the small arrows printed on each connector to get the polarity right.
8. Mount the right housing. Same as the left side: washer, screw through the washer, nut on the back. Don't overtighten.
9. Wire to the battery. Run the black and red wires from the left speaker housing to your battery. Connect red to positive and black to negative.
10. Power on and test. Turn it on, connect via Bluetooth, and test the LEDs. Download the companion app if you'd like more control, or use the included remote to change LED colors.
11. Secure all wiring. Once everything's tested and working, fasten all wiring away from moving and hot parts using cable ties. Optionally, dab duct tape or silicone around the wire entry holes for extra weatherproofing. It's not required, but it's a nice touch.
12. Done. Go ride and enjoy your new sound system.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is this kit actually waterproof, or just water-resistant?
The speakers and pod housings are marine-rated to handle mud, rain, dust, and vibration. It's built for full off-road exposure, not just light splashes.
Will this fit my exact model and year?
Knight ATV pods are molded per model generation, not universal. Check your specific product page for the exact year range before ordering, since different generations of the same model often use different pod housings.
How tight should I make the mounting bolts?
Snug, not forced. Overtightening can crack the fender plastic. The housing just needs to sit securely flush, not clamped down hard.
Does the install process differ between brands, like Can-Am versus Polaris versus Honda?
No. The process above applies across every Knight ATV front fender kit. The only difference between models is the shape of the molded housing itself and running the wires. Drilling, wiring, and mounting steps are identical.
My LED lights aren't working?
Make sure to match the small arrows printed on the LED connectors before plugging them together.
Do I need to seal the drilled holes?
Not required, but a bead of silicone or duct tape around the wire entry points adds an extra layer of weatherproofing if you want the added peace of mind.
What if something goes wrong during install?
